Read Here about Me and My Detroit “D” Spot Redeux Blog

Published by waterprise2

The “D” Spot Redeux, is my Detroit-focused blog .  I post from 5 - 7 times per week.  Click over for a visit!

Here is some information about me and my Detroit Blog:

I am a native Detroiter, graduate of Cass Technical High School and Eastern Michigan University (twice); with a long career history in K-14 Education and direct and consultative sales.  For the past 15 years, I have also been a business owner; this blog represents a continuation of that business growth and expansion.

My family, including my husband, my parents, my three adult children, and my two dogs are the most important things in my life; but I also currently have two full-time businesses (Mary Kay Cosmetics and Writing It Right for You) that I work from my home office: find out more about my businesses here and here.

The “D” Spot Redeux is an outgrowth of the name of my husband’s blog, “The ‘D’ Spot”.  “Redeux” is actually composed of parts of two words: “redux” which is Latin for “re-doing” or “brought back”; and “deux” which is French for “two”. It is pronounced “re-do”. The “D” in “D” Spot is of course for Detroit.

Just about everything I’ve done and experienced in my personal and professional life will be reflected in some fashion throughout this blog: topics will include Detroit, cultures, politics, inspiration and motivation, family, home, history and geography, gadgets, critical thinking, and sometimes just plain fun!

Of course there are massive problems in Detroit; but the mission of this blog is to point out that Detroit and the majority of the people who live and work in Detroit and love this city are greater and better than the foibles of the current leadership.
